Basic CCDs are novice to moderately experienced developers who perform basic capability development under the supervision of a SCCD or MCCD. Qualification for CCD is achieved through completion of the Joint Basic CCD Job Qualification Record (JQR) which includes a knowledge and performance exam.
Basic CCD Duties Include:

Perform research, design, prototyping, development, test, and documentation of cyber capabilities and their components under the oversight of a senior or master developer.

Reuse, copy, adapt, and modify previously learned functionality to meet the specifications and requirements laid out before them.

Learn, follow, and enforce coding standards, procedures, and tradecraft.

Integrate software and hardware.

Write and maintain both user and developer documentation.

Write the automated tests for feature development.
