Basic CCD (CCD)

Basic CCDs are novice to moderately experienced developers who perform basic capability development under the supervision of a SCCD or MCCD. Qualification for CCD is achieved through completion of the Joint Basic CCD Job Qualification Record (JQR) which includes a knowledge and performance exam. 

Basic CCD Duties Include: 

  • Perform research, design, prototyping, development, test, and documentation of cyber capabilities and their components under the oversight of a senior or master developer. 

  • Reuse, copy, adapt, and modify previously learned functionality to meet the specifications and requirements laid out before them. 

  • Learn, follow, and enforce coding standards, procedures, and tradecraft. 

  • Integrate software and hardware. 

  • Write and maintain both user and developer documentation. 

  • Write the automated tests for feature development.
