SPOs are experienced POs who have demonstrated the ability to perform for multiple projects and teams.
Qualification for SPO is achieved utilizing commercial training and certification along with completion of the SPO JQR and panel interview.
SPO Duties Include:

Leads newly formed and/or immature teams, larger efforts involving a scrum of scrums, be assigned as front door staff, or oversee complex projects with subordinate and interrelated projects and teams.

Oversee, train, mentor and review the work of Basic PO's assigned to them.

Create and/or identify available training applicable to the PO work role.

Participates in panel interviews with candidate SPOs.
